Our current virtual challenge is:
THE MONTHLY MILE-UP!
A year‑long momentum builder that grows with you!
Participants commit to walking or running just a little more each month — starting with one extra mile in January and adding one additional mile every month after that. It’s approachable, habit‑forming, and surprisingly powerful by the time December rolls around!
📅 How It Works
January — Add 1 Mile
Walk 1 extra mile total this month. (You choose the day, the pace, the route.) Maybe you really wanted to stop your run or your walk, and you think, "Nope, I'm going to go one more mile because I signed up for the Monthly Mile-Up...so I'm going to keep going!"
February — Add 2 Miles
Walk 2 extra miles total this month. Same deal! It's gross outside; you don't want to go out there, but you do it anyway because you have 2 miles to do!
March — Add 3 Miles
Walk 3 extra miles total this month.
…and so on through December!
By the end of the year, you will have added 78 total bonus miles without ever making a huge jump at once!
When you register, you'll pick your size of shirt, which we will mail to you (for $6) or you can pick it up in our office. Every month, you'll receive an iron-on badge in the mail to add to your shirt. By the end you'll have 12 badges, a sense of accomplishment, and an additional 78 miles under your belt!
You can choose to submit your mileage each month; it's not required, but great for keeping yourself accountable!

Virtual Challenges
Fort4Fitness likes to put on Virtual Challenges in between main events so our participants can keep themselves accountable and stay on track with their fitness goals. These challenges are offered in the online format so you can break a sweat (and earn prizes) from the comfort of your own home!
In the past, we've administered challenges that featured yoga, Barre classes, HIIT classes, stretching, and various at-home workouts that were led by local fitness instructors.
Whether you're an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey, virtual challenges can work to fit anyone's ability and schedule.
