General
Fort4Fitness is a non-profit organization, so profits go back into the budget for the following year. We also run a Charity Partner program, in which we work with local non-profits to establish a fundraising platform that results in donations from Fort4Fitness to the community.
No! Fort4Fitness organizes fitness events: cycling, running, walking, etc. We do have an office building, but our events are held at various locations in and around Fort Wayne.
You can sign up to be a volunteer or a sponsor; you can sign up your business as a Corporate Connection; or you can apply for your non-profit to be Charity Partner! Explore the website for more opportunities or reach out to us via the Contact Us page.
Volunteers
F4F will communicate with you via text and/or email. In the weeks leading up to the event, you will receive information about where to be, what to bring, etc.
Volunteers receive a t-shirt and potentially a meal, depending on the event. (Not to mention the good feeling you get for donating your time and talent!)
No, there isn’t an age requirement for volunteers. However, please be sure that the task you’re signing up for (or signing up a child for) is age appropriate.
Participants
The events will go on if it rains. If the situation is dangerous (lightning, flash flood risk, extreme winds, etc.), then the event will be cancelled and not rescheduled. Participants will be notified as soon as possible by email and/or text. Registrations will not be refunded for a cancellation due to a weather emergency.
Yes. Log into your RunSignup account and click on Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer Event.
First, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, log into your RunSignup account and click on Profile > Upcoming Events. If you don’t see your event listed, you can reach out via the Contact Us page.
Your options are:
• Transfer your registration to another runner
• Change your registration to virtual (so you can complete your distance any place and time and still get your shirt and medal)
• Defer your registration to the following year (do this through the Contact Us page)
We are not able to give refunds due to the costs incurred for the event. We appreciate your understanding.

Walkers are welcome! The course closes at 8:30 PM so all participants and spectators need to be outside the Zoo by that time.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to park at the Foellinger Theatre parking lot for the easiest access before and after the race. Limited parking is available at the Zoo Education Center and in the Franke Park Pavilion 1 lot, but those areas will be closed by 5:30 PM to ensure there are no moving cars on the course. Cars will not be able to exit those areas until participants have cleared that portion of the course. NO PARKING in the orange or red areas.
Carpooling is highly encouraged!
