Jeanne T. has trained for and participated in the Fall Festival for the past two years, running the 4 mile in 2017 and the 10K in 2018.
Jeanne shared her experiences with us, saying she has been "spoiled" by Fort4Fitness. "I didn't realize ALL races didn't have people cheering you on the whole way," she says.
She continues to tip her cap to the involvement from the community - the part of Fort4Fitness that makes our events truly special!
"My absolute favorite part is the community support. With all of the bad things happening in our world, it's so refreshing and inspiring to see volunteers come out to close down roads, local businesses making signs to support runners, and so many neighborhoods and individuals who come out to cheer on runners all day.
I live on the south side of town, very close to the race route, and I love that runners across the area get the chance to see this beautiful part of Fort Wayne, and that the neighborhoods here take advantage of showing it off and throwing block parties for fellow neighbors and runners."
Jeanne and her husband are signed up and ready to go for the 10K again this year.
"I can't say enough good things about Fort4Fitness," she says. "It's so incredibly well organized. From packet pick-up to post-race at Parkview Field, it truly feels like a party and something you want to be a part of."
