Record crowd at Spring Cycle 2016

The Fort4Fitness Spring Cycle garnered a record number of participants as 1,306 registered to take on the day. The Spring Cycle kicked off on Main Street in front of the Arts United Center with 10, 16, 34, 44 mile and the new 100K (62 mile) courses. 230 cyclists had pre-registered for the Inaugural Metric Century tour, but it is estimated that with weekend registrations, 258 completed the 62-mile feat to Ohio and back.

The ride concluded with the first 1,200 registered receiving a finisher medal at the new finish line on Barr Street. Then everyone was welcomed to the Finish Line Celebration with recovery food, bike valet, Spring Expo and Kids Zone. Participants enjoyed a free picnic lunch and live music from Good Night Gracie at the Kickstart Block Party.

2016 offered many new and exciting additions for Spring Cycle participants. Fort4Fitness hopes to build on the successes and make 2017 even bigger and better.
